Market Street – The Bowery
The Double C Steakhouse is located in the historic Bowery section of Winnsboro. This section was home to Saloons and Gambling houses until 1910 when they were all closed due to local option elections.

This section of Town is also home to the famous 1907 shootout between two Saloon keepers and the City Marshall and his brother the Constable. All four were killed during the heated exchange of gunfire.

In the 1920s the building was home to a grocery store belonging to Mr. Curtis Talbert.

In 2007 Sandy Crone and the Cason’s opened the Double C Steakhouse & Saloon and is now serving the community.
